John, even though I was one who could not attend, the feelings you described were the ones I have felt for several weeks as I have read and thought about so many. I truly hope we have another reunion in a few years. If we do, I will be there for sure. Glad so many were able to be together and renew such sweet associations.

Ditto John and Dave...well said.  Sounds like a fabulous reunion and I'm sad to have missed it. My thoughts have been with you this week.  In fact the Women's Brunch is going on as I write!   Glen and I are in Lyon France until next spring so unable to come.  Its been fun reading about and reconnecting with classmates through this website.  - so many fond memories and treasured friendships.  BIG THANKS  to all who've  put this reunion together.

John ( and others I missed last night). I am so sorry I had to leave early, but believe me when I tell you you will be glad I did.  John , I saw Diana and had to run into the CC bathroom as I was talking to her, before I got to say hello to you, and was sick the rest of the night, both in the CC bushes while getting my car, in the parking lot, on Country Club drive and as I pulled in my driveway.  I loved seeing everyone I got to catch up with,  and felt like I was able to see a lot more of you by staying in the front hall!  I hope I did not get any of you sick, and if so please forgive me-I didn’t know!  Luckily it’s only a short lived 24 hour variety🥴 Thank you for the fun visits, the surprises at who remembered me (and who didn’t!), and the joy of seeing us all together again.  Thanks again to Marv and Bill, Becky and Nancy, Dave Seiler, and Mark and Adamson and their committees for the hard work and willingness to take this on early this year.  Loved working with you all, and hope to see you more often!  ❤️  Holly

I'm still smiling so big my cheeks hurt as I reflect on the happy events of the last couple of days. The strength of emotions I felt for all who attended the events Thursday and Friday was significant - both for the their sweetness and for their immediacy. Had their been no mirrors to remind me of the passage of time apparent in my wrinkled face, I would have sworn that the year was 1969 and we were all assembled to celebrate our final year at East High. You were kind and good then; you are kind and good still - and even proven in that goodness. Thank you all for those intense, blessed high school years. I began to know myself as I grew to know you. My regard for you was great then; it is greateer still now. Onward, dear friends. I vote for a simple picnic in Sugarhouse Park with a food truck in five years. I don't want to wait ten! Thank you to those of you who had the vision and managed the time to make the magic happen. It was all perfect.

it was fun to see you...I felt like I only had time to say hello to friends and thought I would catch up throughout the night, but sadly got violently ill about 10 minutes after you came over to chat and had to leave..my only regret was not getting to visit longer...glad you had a good time!  I will keep reading your messages on the message forum and enjoy your eclectic sense of humor...they have entertained me for the last 10 years,  and  I probably have a couple more where I could use a good laugh!

Thanks to everyone who helped with the reunion.  I had a great time.  It was wonderful to see everybody at the Fiddlers get together, the dinner, and the ladies luncheon.  I hope to stay in touch.  This is a great website.

Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make this 50 year reunion special! It was a fun day riding bikes up emigration canyon, hanging out at Fiddlers, thanks Larry for putting it together, and the dinner was great. Tho we got a little rain it didn’t spoil the fun of seeing everyone. Needless to say the rain continued the first few holes of the golf on Friday but it was fun to play with Ginda, Bobby and John. These three bring back fond memories. Sally, Melinda and Sherilynn and others thank you for the women’s brunch where it was so fun to see those that didn’t make it to the other events.  Those that attended Bonneville elementary and I believe 12  to 14 of us it was great to see you! I’m glad to be part of this group of young classmates…Thanks

There were many involved in making this reunion turn out so well.  I am so glad that I got to be a part of planning and pulling this off.  Weather tried to play a part, but people were having too good a time to let it bother them.  It was fun to see all the "old" faces again and to catch up on life.  I hope that more people will put things on the site so that we can continue to learn what is going on in their lives.  Thanks again to all who helped and to all who came to be a part!

A HUGE thank you to ALL who helped in any way to make the reunion such a success! It was so fun to be together again to share laughter and fun memories! Everyone was so cordial and genuinely happy to see each other again, it was a sweet time! I loved sharing 50 years of life experiences through laughter and tears with the ladies. East High Class of '69 - what a powerful force for good in the world! May the Lord Bless You and Keep You!

I still have 8 mugs left from the reunion.  If you know someone who couldn’t come and would like them, and if you can get it to them, let me know and I will put them in bags...once they are gone, they are gone!  I also have one necklace from the women’s luncheon left ...I would love to clear out my dining room, so send me a message and I will do what I can to help!    Holly

It's hard to believe it has already been a week since many of us gathered for our 50 Year Reunion!  It was truly a joy to reconnect with each of you that I had the opportunity to visit with and only wish I could have connected for at least a minute or two with everyone that attended.  There just wasn't enough time!  I'm so grateful for the few pictures I got and thankful for those that took many more and have posted them.  Expressing thanks to those that put in so much time and effort to plan and organize the wonderful events we got to experience doesn't come close to the gratitude I truly feel but please know how much I sincerely appreciate all of your efforts! I love that my wonderful memories of the past were confirmed as I reconnected with each of you and I'm determined to do better with keeping connections in the future. I appreciate the positive influence so many of you have had on my life.  My journey through life has truly been blessed and enriched through knowing you! Thank you dear friends for helping to make my life one with cherished memories. Let's continue to make them!  Love to all of you!

Thank you Marv for getting the ball rolling last March for our 50th reunion that almost didn't happen. Thank you to everyone who was willing to take on a piece of the project. We had a great team!

It was so fun to reconnect with the incredible "Class of 69" and my happy memories of last week will last forever.  It couldn't have been more fun!

Becky Young (Richards)

I just packed up the last of the Red and White "E's". popped the last three red ballons hanging half way down from the ceiling in my kitchen and put away my file labeled "EAST HIGH REUNION- CLASS OF 69." I have hesitated putting it all away because it just made me smile everytime I looked at it. I keep going down memory lane. What a truly wonderful reunion for those few days. Marv...thanks for getting the ball rolling and making it happen. You're our KING of BUNKER HILL! You called a few and look what happened. I loved seeing familiar faces and thank goodness for pictures on nametags. Hugs and handshakes and stories and memories! It was more fun than I had anticipated. I think we all felt a kindred spirit... for those gone before us and those not able to come. When Nancy and I visited East for the History Book....it wasn't the same halls nor the same school we all remember, but we realized it was our classmates that made our years at East so memorable. I do hope we will update our profiles on the website because they make for great reading late at night. You are all the greatest classmates and so glad so many came.

Thank you to all those that put the effort and time into the reunion in one capacity or another. I hope we rub shoulders soon...Chuck A Rama here we come...we can eat to our hearts content!!!!

LOVE YOU ALL...

PS: I did get to put on my Pep Club uniform and give each table a cheer at the womens lunch! I didn't eat much....it was too tight!!!!
