New month and new year almost upon us - my how times flies!  I just read the post that a nice guy from our class passed away.  I find it interesting to think we are getting to this time in our lives when we start reading about, or seeing friends and family member passing on.

I took the time to re-read some of the posts that were sent to me - Thank you for your advice, uplifting encouragements and photos that have been placed on this site.

I am going talk about POLITICS now and hope to get feedback about your feelings on the impeachment process that is happening in our country right now.  I am grateful for those in congress that are finally taking a stand on the improper and repugnant dealings that have been going on through this presidency.  I feel our country's honesty, reliability, and standing in the world has been 'devaluated' considerably.  I leave what is happening to our government of the United States of America in our 'Father's' hands. May God bless us all!

I'd like to here your opinion on this subject too. Kathrine (Whitney) Nielson

Kate, You are a brave sole to bring up politics, people are either black or white, no gray. I think I will sit back and watch. Thanks for starting the dialogue,

Well, Kate, any atrocity that he commits appears to be acceptable as long as he doesn't wear a tan suit.  That would be just too much to bear from a president.

Politics is tough.  Opinions are ok.  But civil dialogue has disappeared from our current society.  Differences of opinion are not tolerated.   For me, I don't want the man to come for dinner, but he is better than any alternative currently deabating in the country.  My one and only post in the subject. ab

It is a sad and embarrassing time for Americans; trump has no soul, is full of himself and lacks a moral compass; he is a divider, not qualified for the office he holds.- Betsy Baker

I am with Betsy Baker!  You know when someone acts with such disrespect for anyone who disagrees with him, and then calls himself a stable genius, does no one see an issue with the arrogance?  Okay no more from me!! Holly Williams Schelin

I thought long about entering this discussion but decided I’ve nothing to lose. My friends will still like me and others still won’t. So here goes:

I could start by congratulating Terry on the deep thought and insight he put into his post and by bringing up the fact that the terms “liar” & “fake” apply more to his candidate of choice than to any other public figure in any of our memories, but I won’t. Oh, wait, I did.

I could continue by saying that I can forgive a mistake, an error in or lack of judgment, or downright ignorance the first time but repeating these makes it so much harder to forgive. But I shouldn’t. Oops, I did it again.

In conclusion, I side with Michael in the belief that this is black and white. I choose white. Symbolizing, among other things, light, goodness, safety, brilliance, illumination, understanding, humility (which I obviously lack), possibility & sincerity. And then I’ll join Sybil in stating that this is my one & only post on the subject.

Don’t forget to vote

And I defer to Dan on the subject of Oxford commas

I am well acquainted with someone who "gaslights". I was married to a pro!! Having said that, women can also "gaslight".   If you want to have a discussion and not just flagrant finger pointing with statements of "absolutes",  I would suggest adding HilLIARy's picture next to your "gaslighting" list. (Dan, how did I do with the commas?)

yes.  I ran it passed my daughter who went to Oxford.

I have been enlightened by the opinions and thoughts of those who have posted on the subject of the Impeachment of a President.  Thanks for stating what you feel.

I have hope that what is 'true' will come forth - that our government will be able to rectify what has been torn down constitutionally and globally .  I also understand many Americans feel this President and the Repbulican Congress are right by backing Trump .

I was raised by parents who were very conservative - but, also was taught to think for yourself. I read, research, and listen to the canidates and then vote for who I feel will be a person who will work for their constiuency.  I don't see very much of this in those who have been voted in to work for the people

So, again I say, "Pray for our government and for those who cling onto hate, who are racial biased, who will not tolerate differences of religon, etc.  I guess I'm getting old and am witnessing a breakdown of morality that has neverfore smittened the world.  Get ready for the 2nd coming.

Kate, I’m surprise there has not been more constructive dialogue. I know there are folks out there with differing opinions. I can’t believe there is so much silence.

For folks, one or two years of becoming 70, ya'all make me smile. As I write, I'm semi-paralyzed about commas and periods. It's interesting that we all age at the same rate, not get Wise.

How are all your kids, grandkids, and possibly great grandkids? Anything fun, rewarding, or spectacular happening in anyone's life lately?

For me, I'm still on this side of Daisy's. I hope everyone is well!

I thought long and hard about commenting on Steve Snyder’s remarks but I decided Steve has nothing to lose, but  I could say he’s already a loser but I won’t.  Oh wait, I did.  (not Steve personally but his party)

I could continue to say his choice of candidate the infamous crooked Hillary Clinton lost big time and that would make him a big loser again but I won’t.   Oops, I did it again.

I can say however, that while the democrats have done absolutely nothing for the last 3 years to pass any kind of legislations to help our country solve important issues.  They are so full of hate for President Trump it consumes them.   They just fixate on ONE think impeaching a president and spending millions of dollars on fake investigations.   Mark my words.  The whistle blower will be Adam Schiff a liar and fake.  Democrats will continue to push the wheel down the road hoping and praying to hit a bump.  President Trump will never be impeached. Democrats need 20% of Republicans to vote to impeach him and that will never happen.   Republicans didn’t whine and cry or try to impeach Obama so let’s just concentrate on trying to solve problems like health care, immigration and economy.etc.

Facts show that since Trump has been in office the economy is the best it has been in over 50 years and I’m happy to say that I have benefited a great deal from it.  I could say that Steve’s choice of President made millions of dollars selling out America with their play and pay.  Holding back billions of dollars to a country until they fired their prosecutor for investigating his son so he can make billions of dollars for doing absolutely nothing he’s qualified to do but I won't.  Oh my I did it again.

I could continue by saying that I can forgive a mistake, an error in or lack of judgment, or downright ignorance the first time but repeating these makes it so much harder to forgive. But I shouldn’t. Oops, I did it again.  ( I copied that from Steve :) )

In conclusion, I side with most Americans that elected President Trump and unfortunately for Democrats he will be elected again in 2020.  The majority of the people do not want a socialist President and will not vote for one.  Whether or not you like President Trump because he says it like he sees it and may be rude & arrogant but he gets things done.  I can live with that but not with crooked Politicians.  Any politician that gets a salary of $175,000 a year and becomes a mutli millionaire or billionaire is a crook.   I believe he will continue to do what is best for America and to drain the swamp of crooked politicians whether they are democrats or republicans.

This will be my last post on this subject also.  You will never change my mind and I will never change your's

Don’t forget to vote Republican :)
