You all are correct about Simon’s fatal accident. My wife, Janet, worked for years in the Marriott Library on the U. campus in the Binding & Preservation Dept. Her boss married Simon’s widow, Eileen Hallett Stone a local writer & sometime history columnist for my former employer, The Salt Lake Tribune. He had an only child w/her, a son. I knew Simon & will always remember him fondly.

How sad that Simon has passed! He was far too young!! If anyone knows how Simon passed away I would love to hear!When we were 19 or so Simon and I spent some good times 'hanging' together!! He was a good guy!!
FYI - Simon's father, Al, was a renown painter and an art professor at the University of Utah.
