Karen Rose Holmes, 19, 30 L St. died Aug 17, 1970 from injuries suffered in an auto-train accident in Fon Du Lac, Wis.
Born March 4, 1951 in Huntington, Ind to Albert S. and Ladora May Horsley Holmes. Member LDS Church, graduate East High School 1969, graduate East Seminary, member East High Acapella Choir, 21st Ward Chancellors.
Survivors: mother, Salt Lake City; father, Indiana; brother Jelan A., Salt Lake City; grandmother. Mrs. Eliza Sheets, Huntington, Ind.
Funeral services Thursday noon, Federal Heights Ward Chapel, 1300 Fairfax Road. Friends call 10:00am until service. Burial Salt Lake City Cemetery.

I dated Karen for over a year in High School. We had many good times together. She was a sweet and caring person and I miss her. Karen's death brings to a close a very tragic, human and personal event that has left everyone with a feeling of emptiness.
