It's hard to believe it has already been a week since many of us gathered for our 50 Year Reunion!  It was truly a joy to reconnect with each of you that I had the opportunity to visit with and only wish I could have connected for at least a minute or two with everyone that attended.  There just wasn't enough time!  I'm so grateful for the few pictures I got and thankful for those that took many more and have posted them.  Expressing thanks to those that put in so much time and effort to plan and organize the wonderful events we got to experience doesn't come close to the gratitude I truly feel but please know how much I sincerely appreciate all of your efforts! I love that my wonderful memories of the past were confirmed as I reconnected with each of you and I'm determined to do better with keeping connections in the future. I appreciate the positive influence so many of you have had on my life.  My journey through life has truly been blessed and enriched through knowing you! Thank you dear friends for helping to make my life one with cherished memories. Let's continue to make them!  Love to all of you!

Thank you Marv for getting the ball rolling last March for our 50th reunion that almost didn't happen. Thank you to everyone who was willing to take on a piece of the project. We had a great team!

It was so fun to reconnect with the incredible "Class of 69" and my happy memories of last week will last forever.  It couldn't have been more fun!

Becky Young (Richards)

I just packed up the last of the Red and White "E's". popped the last three red ballons hanging half way down from the ceiling in my kitchen and put away my file labeled "EAST HIGH REUNION- CLASS OF 69." I have hesitated putting it all away because it just made me smile everytime I looked at it. I keep going down memory lane. What a truly wonderful reunion for those few days. Marv...thanks for getting the ball rolling and making it happen. You're our KING of BUNKER HILL! You called a few and look what happened. I loved seeing familiar faces and thank goodness for pictures on nametags. Hugs and handshakes and stories and memories! It was more fun than I had anticipated. I think we all felt a kindred spirit... for those gone before us and those not able to come. When Nancy and I visited East for the History Book....it wasn't the same halls nor the same school we all remember, but we realized it was our classmates that made our years at East so memorable. I do hope we will update our profiles on the website because they make for great reading late at night. You are all the greatest classmates and so glad so many came.

Thank you to all those that put the effort and time into the reunion in one capacity or another. I hope we rub shoulders soon...Chuck A Rama here we come...we can eat to our hearts content!!!!

LOVE YOU ALL...

PS: I did get to put on my Pep Club uniform and give each table a cheer at the womens lunch! I didn't eat much....it was too tight!!!!

New month and new year almost upon us - my how times flies!  I just read the post that a nice guy from our class passed away.  I find it interesting to think we are getting to this time in our lives when we start reading about, or seeing friends and family member passing on.

I took the time to re-read some of the posts that were sent to me - Thank you for your advice, uplifting encouragements and photos that have been placed on this site.

I am going talk about POLITICS now and hope to get feedback about your feelings on the impeachment process that is happening in our country right now.  I am grateful for those in congress that are finally taking a stand on the improper and repugnant dealings that have been going on through this presidency.  I feel our country's honesty, reliability, and standing in the world has been 'devaluated' considerably.  I leave what is happening to our government of the United States of America in our 'Father's' hands. May God bless us all!

I'd like to here your opinion on this subject too. Kathrine (Whitney) Nielson

Kate, You are a brave sole to bring up politics, people are either black or white, no gray. I think I will sit back and watch. Thanks for starting the dialogue,

Sybil Noall (Matus)

Well, Kate, any atrocity that he commits appears to be acceptable as long as he doesn't wear a tan suit.  That would be just too much to bear from a president.

Politics is tough.  Opinions are ok.  But civil dialogue has disappeared from our current society.  Differences of opinion are not tolerated.   For me, I don't want the man to come for dinner, but he is better than any alternative currently deabating in the country.  My one and only post in the subject. ab

It is a sad and embarrassing time for Americans; trump has no soul, is full of himself and lacks a moral compass; he is a divider, not qualified for the office he holds.- Betsy Baker

I am with Betsy Baker!  You know when someone acts with such disrespect for anyone who disagrees with him, and then calls himself a stable genius, does no one see an issue with the arrogance?  Okay no more from me!! Holly Williams Schelin

I thought long about entering this discussion but decided I’ve nothing to lose. My friends will still like me and others still won’t. So here goes:

I could start by congratulating Terry on the deep thought and insight he put into his post and by bringing up the fact that the terms “liar” & “fake” apply more to his candidate of choice than to any other public figure in any of our memories, but I won’t. Oh, wait, I did.

I could continue by saying that I can forgive a mistake, an error in or lack of judgment, or downright ignorance the first time but repeating these makes it so much harder to forgive. But I shouldn’t. Oops, I did it again.

In conclusion, I side with Michael in the belief that this is black and white. I choose white. Symbolizing, among other things, light, goodness, safety, brilliance, illumination, understanding, humility (which I obviously lack), possibility & sincerity. And then I’ll join Sybil in stating that this is my one & only post on the subject.

Don’t forget to vote

I mean Anne, not Sybil. Another oops

And I defer to Dan on the subject of Oxford commas

I am well acquainted with someone who "gaslights". I was married to a pro!! Having said that, women can also "gaslight".   If you want to have a discussion and not just flagrant finger pointing with statements of "absolutes",  I would suggest adding HilLIARy's picture next to your "gaslighting" list. (Dan, how did I do with the commas?)

yes.  I ran it passed my daughter who went to Oxford.
